MEASURLOGIC’s DTS 305, 310 & SMX Electrical Energy Sub Meters have been Certified by the SunSpec Alliance

Centennial , Colorado  – April 26, 2012 – MEASURLOGIC, Inc. has earned  the SunSpec Alliance Certification for three of its DTS Electrical Energy Sub-Meters, the 305, 310 and SMX. Accomplishing this, MEASURLOGIC will be helping support compatibility, consistency and reliability across the solar energy industry. As one of the growing list of members of the solar standards organization MEASURLOGIC will contribute to the organizations goal of standardizing communications and data harvesting thus reducing cost and improving overall efficiency.  It was commented by SunSpec staff that the MEASURLOGIC certification process was one of the most expedient so far, due in great part to MEASURLOGIC’s meter design, firmware/software flexibility and the great cooperation by staff on both sides of the process. “Having a series of our MEASURLOGIC meters Certified to the SunSpec Alliances interoperable platform is a great step forward for us,” stated John Stratford of MEASURLOGIC, “we believe in the movement toward a standard open data platform within the solar and more generally in the entire renewable energy industry. MEASURLOGIC DTS 305

The DTS 305 is an ultra-versatile externally powered Electrical Energy Sub-Meter/Transducer available with a remote backlit multifunctional DTS LCD display. The DTS 305 is a Class 0.5 Revenue Grade “Net Meter” serving single and 3 phase power topologies. The DTS 305 supports Modbus RTU.  The DTS 305 may be specified for Modbus TCP or BACNet/IP protocols. The DTS 305 may also be specified with multiple sets of user configurable isolated Analog outputs and/or Digital I/O terminals that can be dependent or independent of the meter thus eliminating additional external I/O hardware. A single pulse output is standard. These interfaces allow the end user to view data from any device with a pulse output such as a gas or water meter or to control a device such as a relay. The DTS 305 is designed to be mounted on a DIN rail or surface mounted within a secure enclosure.

MEASURLOGIC DTS 310

The DTS 310 is a cost effective, compact, line powered Electrical Energy Sub-Meter. The DTS 310 is a Class 0.5 Revenue Grade “Net Meter” serving single and 3 phase power topologies. The DTS 310 supports Modbus RTU (DIP Switch Configurable). The DTS 310 may be specified for Modbus TCP or BACNet/IP protocols. The DTS 310 may also be specified with two sets of additional Digital I/O terminals that can be dependent or independent of the meter, thus eliminating the need for additional external I/O hardware. A single pulse output is standard. These interfaces allow the end user to view data from any device with a pulse output such as a gas or water utility meter or to control a device such as a relay. The DTS 310 is designed to be mounted on a DIN rail within a secure enclosure.

MEASURLOGIC DTS SMX

The DTS SMX is a line powered Electrical Energy Sub-Meter housed in a weather-proof, non-metallic NEMA 4x enclosure containing a backlit DTS LCD display. The DTS SMX is a fully fused class 0.5 Revenue Grade “Net Meter” serving single and 3 phase power topologies. The DTS SMX supports Modbus RTU (DIP Switch Configurable). The DTS SMX may be specified for Modbus TCP or BACNet/IP protocols. The SMX may also be specified with two sets of additional Digital I/O terminals that can be dependent or independent of the meter, thus eliminating additional external I/O hardware. A single pulse output is standard  These interfaces allow the end user to view data from any device with a pulse output such as a gas or water utility meter or send a pulse to a device such as a relay. The DTS SMX enclosure is designed to be mounted on a surface.

Experts from Industry and Research discuss Storage Solutions for Renewable Energies

 Efficient storage technologies play a pivotal role in a sustainable energy supply based on renewable energies. This particularly applies to solar and wind energy where the lack of storage techniques is becoming an increasingly limiting factor. The role that energy storage plays in future energy supplies is the topic of “Energy Storage – International Summit for the Storage of Renewable Energies” in March 2012.

The conference with accompanying technical exhibition celebrating its premiere on 13 and 14 March 2012 will focus on practical feasibility. Representatives from research, industry, politics and energy supply will get together in order to shed some light on commercially viable applications and innovative concepts for energy storage as well as on their potential and affordability. The aim is to outline a roadmap towards commercially viable storage technologies for future-proof energy scenarios.

The internationally renowned scientist Prof. Dr. Eicke R. Weber, spokesman of the Fraunhofer Energy Alliance and Head of the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems in Freiburg, is the Chairman of the Programme Committee.
